Crescent Koi Fish Pond
self watering ping pot and/or propagation pond.
Fill the pond with water and watch the koi swim! The koi and lily pads are fixed at different levels on the inside of the “pond” to give the illusion of floating. The pond area holds a lot of water especially if you fill to the point where the koi is submerged. I recommend using leca to fill the crescent part of the planter most of the way, then top layer with sphagnum moss if planting pinguiculas in. The point is to use very airy substrate such as leca to offset the moisture (too much moisture can cause rot). You can also propagate cuttings with leca inside this piece, you don’t have to use pings. As usual, use your discretion with how much water to put in depending on your climate and substrate.
overall dimensions: 3.5×8.75 inch
